Originally from Cornwall in England, I have been teaching for 11 years. I have taught in the UK, Queenstown, Southland, Australia, Blenheim and now I am super excited to be back near the beautiful mountains and lakes of the South and have the opportunity to work at Shotover Primary School.
I have a strong passion for sustainability, and the environment. I continually question ‘why’ we do things and what impacts we have. I love having the opportunity to create a climate of change and possibility for the future, through the teaching and learning in our habitats. By creating authentic, engaging learning experiences, and strong connections with the students, curiosity will empower our students to make informed choices and drive to make a difference.
Aside from teaching, I love spending time with family and friends and being outside. I particularly enjoy kite surfing, mountain biking, skiing, kayaking and hiking. For more peaceful activities; I enjoy reading, yoga and meditation.
